Today's post is two posts in one.
First, I have a gripe. I was watching our newly acquired cable television the other night. Right in the middle of Wheel of Fortune I made a horrible discovery. The entire consumer world has turned against us. It seems like every time I turn around I see another "super great" or "limited time" offer or incentive. Not all of these offers are to buy something some are simply contests. Contests are supposed to be free right? Well the one on Wheel of Fortune seemed to be, but it wasn't really. As I understand it you simply sign up for a mysony account and become eligible to win the same prize as one of the on air contestants. That sounds simple enough, right? I thought so too, but here's the kicker. If you are a holder of a sony credit card and you win the prize is really big. It seems that everyone is trying to bribe consumers to dig themselves further in to debt in hopes of some prize or reward. That just makes me mad. I've also been approached at Old Navy. Sign up for an Old Navy card and instantly save 10%. Just simple math tells me that's a bad idea. It would only be worth my while if the interest rate was considerably less than 10%. I KNOW I'm not eligible for that! Ok enough with the "I'm being tricked into spending more money" stuff. On to something cool.
I found this cool little beta program on the ebay site. If I actually sold something on ebay I could advertise on here on my blog. Since I've pretty much given up on ever being able to sell something on eBay, I will use it as a wish list. I do not plan on purchasing anything right now, but it's fun to shop. Maybe some of you eBay sellers will find it useful. I just think it's pretty.
I'm sorry to all my loyal readers (both of you). I have nothing new today. I am, however, filling my sidebar with new stuff. If there is anything that you would like to see in my sidebar just let me know. We did get cable TV again today. I'm sure I'll be zombified within a few days. If you don't see me please come and rescue me.
For some strange reason today at the rough n ready festival I saw a ninja. I not at all sure where he came from or why he decided to attend the festivites. The fact of the matter remains I saw a ninja. At first I decided to just get a candid shot. Its not every day I run in to ninjas so I thought I would keep my distance. I just knew that if I approached him my head would be removed with one swipe of his ninja sword. My worries turned out to be for nothing, because this was one of the friendly ninja variety. He was even nice enough to strike a ninja-like pose for me. So if you see this ninja in town fear not. He will not hurt you unless you happen to be a red ninja.
